A masterpiece of kung fu choreography and funny too!

It has to be a comedy with that cast. It starts quick with Wong Yu fights two guys for reasons unknown. Wong Yu is a bounty hunter and he is taking wanted posters but cannot identify the persons pictured. He finally sees a real criminal but cannot defeat him so he runs away. He goes to the tea house for help. Success nets him only the wallet and a letter, no money and now he is a wanted criminal.

The brothers Liu Chia-Liang and Lau Kar-Wing created a masterpiece here. Every fight is unique to the situation and tells a story in itself. The Lau Kar-Wing versus Wilson Tong fight was superb. The Wilson Tong versus Norman Chu sword fight was even better. Only Liu Chia-Liang or his brother could put in such a fine detail as the sword tassel hitting the eyes. Plus the movie never forgets it's a comedy. The final fight was the best of all and one of the best final fights ever.

An odd, but entertaining kung fu comedy.

In 'Dirty Kung Fu', Wang Yue(Not Jimmy Wang Yu, Ho Chi from 'Dirty Ho') portrays a young man who uses his kung fu skills to capture criminals wanted by the authorities in exchange for a cash reward. He learns the "eel fist" in order to go after a vicious criminal expertly trained in kung fu.

This film is filled with dry, Cantonese humor and plenty of nicely choreographed fight scenes by Liu Chia-yung. I wouldn't think of this film as a classic, but I would recommend it to viewers who enjoy martial arts comedies.

A bit goofy for my tastes

Dirty Kung Fu is a mostly unfunny Kung Fu comedy. However, it does deliver the goods with the fight scenes. Even with a lot of familiar faces in old school Kung Fu flicks and a memorable fight scene with Norman Chu there is nothing about this that breaks out above average. The comedy is mostly not funny or clever. But Dirty Kung Fu is still a half way decent watch, even if it comes across as silly for the most part.

A pretty fun light hearted old school martial arts movie.

A clever slacker bounty hunter cons other bounty hunters into helping him capture wanted criminals, but must learn kung fu when one bounty turns out to be more than anyone can handle. Mainly the movie is our lead walking around getting himself in trouble which often results in fights, many of which he is only a spectator during. The choreography is pretty decent and fun, though nothing to make it stand out as a classic. The most unique factor to this movie is that it introduces Eel Fist Kung Fu long before Chin Kar Lok did it in Operation Scorpio. This one doesn't take itself too serious at any point so if you're just looking for something fun for your brain to munch on, give this a watch.
