An Exceptional movie
This is movie which had good comedy, romance and emotions. This is one of the best Hindi movies. The songs are superb. The story is entertaining & true to life. One can't take anything for granted. Live the moment you have to the fullest extent you never know what will happen next. True to the title song.
I wish Hemlata had gotten more opportunities to sing more songs. The title song is among the top 10 best ever romantic songs.
Though this is a 70's movies, it applies to current times too. It has a light beginning of college life, competition, fights, romance, and a great anti-climax.

Unique Indian Movie
Original Indian romance can be watched in
Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se ( Through the Eyelashes (1978) ). Starring Sachin and Ranjeeta, this movie is simple, but for all people except children. This is also a educational movie because one can learn some guiding principles. This is a super hit movie of 1978 and one of the best Indian movie of 1970s.
Best Hindi movie of all time (Romantic genere)
There is no vulgarity. Lily-Arun created history by this movie in Indian cinema.
Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se (Through the Eyelashes (1978) ) is a highly praised and famous Indian movie. It is regarded as the best Bollywood movie of all time in romantic genere. It is a pure Bollywood romantic movie that is without vulgarity.
Arun (Sachin) and Lily (Ranjeeta) proved their great acting brilliance in this movie. Their performance in this movie is exceptional. Direction of the movie is better than its remarkable story.

Heart touching !!!
Rajshee were master of simplicity...and so this movie was...a cute and so emotional love story that I dont think we can compare with any other love story...I did not like Sachin till this movie but now I am a fan of him after watching this one...and Ranjeeta is adorable and so cute...story was so simple but powerfull...and what to say about music and songs...simply outstanding...title song sung by hemlata mam was mesmorising...this movie always brings tears to my eyes whenever I saw it...this movie is a big lesson to now a days movie which have no sense but only vulgarity....
one of my favorites!
this movie is one of those few Indian movies that portrays realistic picture rather than the typical ideal picture. I likes this movie because the characters in this movie seem real, they can be anyone you go to college with or see on the street. Another thing was the main conflict that the characters face, it is portrayed without too much drama and in a way that tugs your heart, you'll laugh and you'll cry, it's a tear jerker! it will make you appreciate the presence of the one you love in your life. the songs are amazing. especially like the one with kabir's and rahim's dohe (one of those few INTELLIGENT songs u'll ever hear)
Did you know
- TriviaThe Akhiyon ke jharokon se number 'kayee din se mujhe'. Music by Ravindra Jain sampled from Mozart's 40th Symphony, movement 3
- GoofsIn the end when Camera pans backwards through the college building, it halts briefly over a Blackboard on which a stanza from Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem was written. The stanza from the poem titled 'A Psalm of Life' had line '... And, Departing, leave behind us...'. In the movie the word 'leave' was mistakenly written as 'live'.
