- James A. FitzPatrick: Words alone cannot do justice to the charm of this famous resort, so we've added music to our words and composed a song, which we now humbly dedicate to the delightful day that we spent down by the sea in Torquay.

- James A. FitzPatrick: En route to the coast of Devon, we visit the ancient city of Bath, which has a recorded history dating back to the year 44 A.D., when the Roman invaders, taking advantage of the natural hot water springs which they found here, established an elaborate system of baths - the remains of which are among the most important Roman relics in the British Isles.
- James A. FitzPatrick: Even in our day, barbed-wire barricades, only recently removed, were strung along the shores of Teignmouth, in anticipation of an enemy landing which never materialized. But all that is in the past - we hope - and the happy diversions of peace now occupy the people who patronize this resort.
