    The Untold Story of LEBANON

This film was banned in many Arabic countries, because they still considered the ottoman empire as a successor of the Islamic empire, and specially that the writers , the Rahbanis, and Fairouz, are Christians. The film tells the story of the LEBANESE resistance against the ottoman occupation, since LEBANON was the only center of resistance in the era. The film shows wonderful sightings from the LEBANESE mountain, all in the "Fairouz" universe, along with her voice and these scenes you travel beyond imagination. The script is very easy and simple, yet contains strong feelings. Also while watching you are pleased to see the first generation of LEBANESE Actors that made LEBANESE drama what it is today.

The reason is obvious... eine Comedy is one of the movies that Western countries have prepared to scold Arab countries. Awesome Movie

One of the best movies I have ever seen. Grew up watching this movie with a brilliant cast including the legendary fairouz and also famous TV actors from Abou Saleem's show like Fihman, Asaad and Abou Saleem himself.

Story takes place when the Ottaman Empire, the Turkish, had colonized Lebanon and what a small group of citizens from a village decided to do to finally aid the suffering village folks from the hands of the turks.

Comedy, Drama, Music, and Action. I would love to get my hands on a copy of this. Highly recommended for anyone from lebanon who wants to get a hold of national treasure of a movie.

    Fairuz

in this movie Fairuz and Rahbani Brothers could approved that,

    they are really unrepeatable myth,

they have a wide range of talents from composing, writing scenarios, writing lyrics, and also acting the scenes brilliantly, Their songs still one of the best memorable of all songs produced in the Arab World since 1950s till now. The very simple story show us what real Lebanon is. Lebanon is beautiful by its people not only by its breathtaking nature. The Lebanese who cannot afford the Ottoman injustice, the movie succeeded to demonstrate that, the human and the freedom is the target, and not the different sects which Lebanon consists of.

A small Lebanese village rebelling against ottoman's occupation.

One of the best Rahbani's films which fills you with longing for old times. Charming story, great actors and perfectly reproduced scenes. I just love the innocence and simplicity of people at that time, everybody is ready to sacrifice himself for the starving village. Got to watch it.
