In this show Gavrilo has given money to his son Zlatko to give to Gavrilo 's sister Bisenija. Zlatko lost the money so Gavrilo sold his land to Tihomir Stojkovic who found treasure who Gavrilo father bury .This one my favorite TV show. It has good cast and good story .Tihomir become real star off this show. Gavrilo and his wife Valeria got one best marriges.

Classic Serbian tv sitcom introducing different characters from all levels of society, interlocking in an intetesting, thrilling and exciting story. Don't expect super heroes hollywood style, this is portraying of a normal human being with everyday challenges and dreams.

This series, for me, is the best series when it comes to large number of episodes in the work of Sinisa Pavic starting from Bolji Zivot. It has funny storylines, best writings, in my opinion, no annoying characters, and in the plot twist that even most tense thrillers would want. Ok, now I am joking a bit. It didn't went too long, and has just right amount if everything. Bolji zivot is overrated cause it was first big series for Pavic, so people tend to say he copied next series. He did took ideas from his previous work, but made them better, and this series shows it. Big recommendation.

I guess humor is subjective and not everyone can agree that something is funny. For me, the scenario is brilliant and one of the funniest ones in history. It is also carried by the best actors and becomes an eternal joy.

Usually the people who hate this hate everything which is ours (Serbian) and love everything foreign or have no emotion whatsoever.

This is a series you watch every night at 8, with your family or alone, sometimes you eat dinner with this and just enjoy. It has a lot of wise quotes as well and the music is beautiful, especially the Zeljko Samardzic song "Srce porodicno" (Heart of the family) and all its adaptations during the scenes.

There are a couple od characters that are from southern Serbia and the humor around them also revolves around their accent but i dont view it as insulting but rather just an insight on how some people talk there.

The whole cast here is legendary and it would be a shame to give this a low grade, not because the actors are legends but because they delivered.

Who ever gives this series a grade lower than 5 deserves money penalty.

I dont know why im writting this. Maybe for some random person reading this, but i felt the need to give it a 10 and a decent review to repay what this series gave me.

If you are foreign and dont understand Serbian, you will probably never watch this and never will find subtitles. If you are Serbian and somehow didnt watch this, watch it and relax and enjoy.

Please do not listen to the reviewer 'Crveni Krst' - he has given negative reviews even for classics such as 'Bolji Zivot' as he has a preference for foreign films.

Pavic-written series were not mindless soap-operas that currently plague the US, India and Spain, but series with intelligent dialogues and witty caricatures of common people in Serbia. I personally find 'Porodicno Blago' a better series than 'Srecni Ljudi'.

What is notable about 'Porodicno Blago' is the good dose of realism it possesses without being dark. It is happening during the difficult times in Serbia (that unfortunately exist to this day) where Serbs face the issues of high unemployment, the rural-urban divide and the young generation dreaming of leaving the country in a delusion that they might find a better life abroad. We have the Gavrilovic family where the heads are trying make ends meet while the children are faced with issues of their own: one is trying to find a job, the other is a tomboy who finds love and the third child struggles to finish school. These are very common problems that are portrayed in a manner where we sympathise with the characters and root for them. Even the people from the countryside are hilarious, a refreshing change from Serbian movies and series that were at the time this was aired were heavily focused on Belgrade.

My favourite character was Churchill, the loud, jealous husband who is actually a good man that tries to protect his family using methods that may seem brutish at first sight.

Give this series a chance, it is good fun!
