Rick Moranis, Sam Horrigan, and Ed O'Neill in Little Giants (1994)

Goofs

Little Giants

Edit

Continuity

During halftime, Hot Hands's shirt does not have the black goo on it he used in the first half. When he returns to the field, the goo is back on.
On the Cowboys last offensive play, Spike is clearly tackled well over a yard from the goal line; but, when he gets up the ball is only inches from the line.
When Butz goes to get his car washed the windows in his car are rolled down. When the Giants start spraying water on him, the driver's side window is rolled up.
During the final goal-line stand, a close-up is shown on Rudy Zolteck. Junior is standing next to him. When if shifts to Danny only seconds later, Junior is on the bench.
The glass of milk when Danny is talking to the girl.

Factual errors

On the final drive for the Cowboys, they make it to, roughly, the 10 yard line after a long run - gaining a first down. They then only run 2 plays before the ball is turned over. It should have only been 3rd down after they ran their toss (where Spike is tackled inches from the end zone and the ball is turned over).
The clock ticks down from 5 seconds to 4 seconds long after Spike was tackled near the goal line and the whistle blew. There should have been 5 seconds left for the last play.
You do not kick extras points in peewee football as they did in this movie. Nor do you kick field goals.
Danny says a "huddle" is a Latin word for "round". However, the real Latin word for "round" is "circum" where the words "circle", "circus", "circa", "circumference" and "circumstance" stem from.
In football when it is a turnover on downs, the opposing team gets the ball back at the exact location of where the ball ends at the last play. On the Cowboys last possession Spike gets a few inches from the endzone, but when Giants have the ball, they start from the 20-yard line.

Revealing mistakes

When Kevin O'Shea's wife and daughters are watching the home video of his tackle gone awry, what they are watching is obviously from the film, complete with different angles and shots of him from outside. His daughter could not have caught it all with the camcorder.
During the car wash scene, Hanon is holding up a sign which reads: "Car Wash $5.00..." However, later in the car wash scene, Danny says that the car wash only costs $1.00.

Miscellaneous

When Tad is being dragged down the field by Spike, his shirt is ripped from being pulled. Yet when we see him again his shirt is not ripped at all.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

When Kevin and Danny are talking in the diner, Kevin asks, "Are you trying to make me look like an idiot?" but his mouth isn't even moving.
During the Cowboys last possession when the film is going in slow motion, you hear the quarterback yell "Down... Go!" When the camera pans to his face, it's obvious that he is mouthing "set", not "go".

Errors in geography

The movie is set in Ohio, but in numerous scenes, mountains such as those found in California are visible in the background. Ohio does not have any Chaparral-type mountains.

Plot holes

Spike's father says he treasures Kevin O'Shea's football legacy. Yet he doesn't recognize that the O'Shea he's speaking to is not Kevin but his brother, Danny.
When the brothers are racing to get the new player, one gets held up at a railway crossing. The train would hold him up a few minutes, but he should eventually arrive not long after his brother, yet he does not.

Character error

In the coffee shop when one of the old timers is writing down the odds on the upcoming game, he writes + 40 points under the Cowboys as they are the heavy favorite to win the game. He should have wrote -40 points. The way he writes it would make the Cowboys the underdog; getting 40 points.
