Elizabeth McKay credited as playing...
Ann
- Ann: [Ann and Jack are sitting on a park bench, she's playing with his hair flirtatiously] You said you never even thought about cheating on Molly. Does that mean you're thinking about it now?
- Jack McMullen: [flatly] No.
- Ann: You should.
- Jack McMullen: [uncomfortably] Oh Ann, I don't know. I don't think I could ever do that to Molly.
- Ann: You wouldn't be doing it *to* Molly. I keep thinking about that night in the car, what would have happened if I'd just grabbed you and kissed you... because I know you wanted me too.
- [she leans towards him]
- Ann: Come on, Jack... kiss me.
- [she forcibly kisses him]
- Jack McMullen: [pulling away] Ann, I can't do this. I could never do that to Molly... I love her.
- Ann: I don't want love from you, Jack. I want you.
- Jack McMullen: Listen, I gotta go.
- [Ann watches him leave with a look that says 'you'll be back']
- Ann: [Ann is sitting with Jack in his car outside her apartment] What's wrong with you? You've been acting strange all day.
- Jack McMullen: Look, I just don't feel that this is right! I mean, for Christ's sakes, don't you have any guilt at all?
- Ann: [laughs] Don't get so high and mighty on yourself, Jack. You know, in case you haven't noticed, you're the one who's been calling *me* lately, not the other way around.
- Jack McMullen: Look, I'm sorry. This whole thing has just got my head a little bit screwed up right now.
- Ann: [hurt] You're having an affair, it's not a big fucking deal!
- Jack McMullen: Well, it is to me. I mean, I don't *like* what I'm doing, and I don't want to hurt Molly. I love her.
- Ann: Get over yourself, Jack! If you loved Molly so much, you wouldn't be running into the city, jumping into my bed every chance you get!
- [Jack is silent]
- Ann: Great. You know what? Do me a favor... I don't want to be part of your confusion. Don't bother coming up... call me when you get a grip.
- [gets out of the car]
- Jack McMullen: [to himself] Damn!
