- Mace: [grabs the playback tapes from Lenny] You're gonna get yourself killed for this? Huh? For this toxic waste BITCH?
- [throws the tapes on the floor]
- Lenny: What the fuck are you doing?
- [Mace stomps on the tapes, grabs Lenny and flings him roughly against the wall]
- Mace: This is your life! Right here, right now! It's real time! You hear me? Real time! Time to get real, not playback. You understand me? She doesn't love you anymore. Maybe she did once, I don't know, but she doesn't now! These are used emotions. It's time to trade em in! Memories are meant to fade, Lenny. They're designed that way for a reason.
- Lenny: Have you ever been in love... with someone who didn't return that love?
- Mace: [painfully] Yeah, Lenny. I have.
