'Target of Seduction' is one of those T&A trips that poses the age old question does the plot matter if it delivers a regular quota of female nudity? On a Tane McClure mini binge - a lady no stranger to this genre - she's the only name I recognized in a project that's barely able to squeeze out a lousy 80 mins and often times feels half baked if not downright stupid.
Samantha (Betsy Boyle) a publishing house editor spends her days reading romantic manuscripts and then often indulging in fantasies brought upon because of them. Living with two female roommates including Lauren (McClure) a fading model everyone's looking for love. However Sam's bigger problem is all these creepy guys like co-worker Zack (Michael Albala). When she starts receiving threatening letters can she figure out who's responsible before they strike and it's too late?
T&A flicks have a list they use to achieve naked ladies. Showers / getting changed / dream sequences / models getting nude photos taken or plain 'ol simulated sex. This might not be the first pic I've seen check off every box, but it might be the first to use each category repeatedly. A lot of it ain't uber hot stuff, but they certainly succeeded at cramming in as much as possible. Boyle (in her only credit) gets naked twice while Tane three or four times. Both subscribed to the blondes with big tits category.
The problem with 'Target of Seduction' is it's story. I could handle cliche or predictable as that is most of the genre. No it's their inability to create any real tension or suspense along the way. It's one thing to throw a bunch of red herrings at your viewers, but when most didn't exist five minutes ago or aren't seen again what's the point. Tane has certainly appeared in much better.
