(At 01:15:45) Zane Charlie Sheen drives off in the Jeep wearing the same clothes he left behind beside the transformation machine.
The door held shut by the chain has pull handles, not push pads. The door opens inward. They would be pulling it open, not holding it closed.
During the final scenes at the remote radio telescope site, vehicles - including two white vans - are shown flying down a dusty road with dust billowing up behind and around them. Thereafter, though, the vans sometimes have dust on them and sometimes don't. The third vehicle, a sedan, appears to not have any dust on it whatsoever.
When Gordian Ron Silver goes to the nursery, the telephone number is 818-899-3099, but when the gardeners he hires leave, the number on the truck is 818-794-5171.
In one scene, Zane Charlie Sheen is crouching in a yard when the sprinklers come on. In the overhead shot (looking down from above) there are no sprinklers seen. In the next shot, they are spraying again.
(at around 14 mins) In the lecture about terraforming Mars, the lecturer talks about "raising the temperature tenfold". No scientist would say this: it's virtually meaningless since the temperature on Mars is -60°C or -80°F. Ten times those temperatures would be colder (-600°C & -800°F). Using kelvins does not work either since the temperature would be 213 K and 10 times that is 2,130 K which is 1,857°C or 3,375°F. A real scientist would state an actual temperature change rather than a melodramatic statement like 10 times.
FM frequency radio waves would not be used for interstellar communication because the radio waves bounce off the ionosphere back to Earth. A very small fraction may make it through, but any meaningful communication would be done at microwave frequencies, which is what NASA uses to communicate with spacecraft.
Towards the end when Zane Charlie Sheen and Char Teri Polo run into a building, Zane has a key to the deadbolt on the building door. But the deadbolt is installed wrong. It is a 'Kwikset' double cylinder deadbolt and the screws that hold it on the door are on the outside of the door, not the inside. Anyone with a screwdriver could simply remove the lock and open the door.
The EMT is seen squeezing a ventilator bag on the man on the stretcher as the policeman is saying he is DOA (dead on arrival), A dead body does not need ventilation. Plus, it was too early to tell if he were DOA. DOA means dead upon arrival at the hospital. They hadn't even yet left the scene.
When the alien dish transmits its signal, Zane Charlie Sheen hears it, is stunned, and pulls his headset off his ears. Assuming he had his radio tuned to the correct frequency there would be nothing for his radio to detect since the dish focuses the transmission into a directional beam.
(At around 34 mins) Ilana Lindsay Crouse is informed about increases of several greenhouse trace gases, but the presentation shown is adding percentages of different gases to make a total sum of the percent increase. Though the calculation is mathematically correct, it makes no sense, since it mixes different gases.
It's not saying greenhouse gases increased by 700%. It's saying those percentage increases add to 700%.

At the Oro Observatory, the power is cut and the breakers are tripped. When the 'gardener' alien slashes at Zane Charlie Sheen, the computer lines are cut and sparks are seen. There would not be sparks if there was no power.
Computers such as this invariably have an uninterrupted power supply. A UPS provides near-instantaneous protection from input power interruptions.

At the Mexican radio station where the firefighters are working, it is clear that either there was never a fire or the fire has long since been extinguished. There is no visible smoke or even steam from the water's interaction with fire.
When Charlie Sheen dives out of the bathtub just before the ceiling and floor collapse he can be seen wearing flesh colored shorts.
It would not have been possible to broadcast the tape using a communications satellite that is in use. Uplinking on top of other broadcasts would create interference so that neither the video on the tape nor the original broadcast could be viewed.
[At 1:34:04] The alien would not be able to puncture a fire extinguisher with his rapier-like weapon.
When Zane Charlie Sheen is in the elevator with an alien and says, "Would you like to see the ruins, my friend?" his lips don't match the words.
When Zane Charlie Sheen and Ilana Lindsay Crouse are talking about the climate changes in San Marsol, Zane has a flashback of the presentation that he had crashed earlier at JPL. However, he should not have heard the part about the melting polar ice because he was already removed from the room by two security guards.
When Zane Charlie Sheen attempts to transmit the video from the control room, the power in the room fails due to a large cable being cut outside. However, the steel window curtain still rolls up when Zane presses a button, which would be impossible if there was no power in the room.
Though Zane Charlie Sheen's scheme to link a number of TV satellite dishes for use in radio astronomy is plausible enough for a sci-fi movie, the plan would quickly go awry when the customers lost their television service. TV dishes must be aimed at a geosynchronous (constant) position.
There seems to be no logic for when Zane Charlie Sheen sometimes wears glasses for the first half of the movie. After leaving the power station, he never wears them again and doesn't seem to need them.
Ilana Lindsay Crouse tells Zane Charlie Sheen that the flower field she examined at the beginning of the film is 90 miles from the North Pole. Even if the ice pack melted, there would be no soil for plants to grow in, as the nearest land is more than 400 miles away.
