Great family fun.
After their boat sinks in a storm a family of four find themselves stranded on a desert isle, with a community of quirky characters including a lovely part for Jerry Hardin as the town mayor. The families biggest problem is the young son who has diabetes and needs insulin, unfortunately its on the boat at the bottom of the sea. He also has a tendency to wander off and makes friends with a native boy and together they have some fun adventures. The daughter isn't left out either and makes friends with and has some truly spectacular scenes playing with dolphins.
Something to be enjoyed by children young and old.

The Bermuda Triangle is one of the most enigmatic mysteries of the modern age that has puzzled and confounded scientists for decades where countless numbers of planes and ships have disappeared . Except it isn't and looking up the statistical evidence of this vast stretch of water the numbers of planes and ships that have disappeared in this area is no different from any other vast stretch of open water you care to name . Much of the legend of the triangle is down to Charles Berlitz who wrote a book on the subject and who felt the need to invent " facts " which weren't facts at all hence fiction quickly becomes established fact . Mass media has a hand in propagating myth and a good example would be the missing Malayan passenger flight which is still making leading headlines over two weeks after it went missing as if some supernatural force has taken it . Whatever the cause of the missing plane supernatural phenomena will not have been the cause but the media do enjoy a good mystery . In fact the human race as a whole enjoy mystery so something like the Bermuda Triangle remains part of popular culture which is reflected by the relatively large number of films using the subject as a backdrop and here's another which is sadly one of the most lacklustre ones you will see
There's a cynical air to calling a film BERMUDA TRIANGLE when the reality is that it's merely a generic shipwreck type story . A family are sailing through the triangle and a solar eclipse causes their boat to sink while transporting them on to a remote island where other survivors live and at this point all internal logic and common sense sinks with the family boat . A US serviceman drives around the island in a second world war era jeep . This mode of transport is petrol driven so obviously this remote island has a oil refinery there somewhere . Either that or the writer hasn't given the slightest piece of thought to what is being written and the film continues in the same thoughtless way . Another irritant is the happy clappy type characters that seem trapped on the island and their insufferable cheerfulness might just be some peoples idea of never ending hell . In fact the whole feel of the film is one of suffocating wish fulfilment and there's little in the way of danger , adventure or excitement so you've got a very boring film . Some people might want to watch it due to an unknown Naomi Watts in a small role but apart from that there's little to recommend this movie

This film comes from the writers of "Cocoon 2" and tells the story of a family that gets lost in the Bermuda Triangle. Finally we're told what the secret of it.
"Bermuda Triangle" is a cheap tv-show with an almost perfect sreenplay and an average cast. The film keeps us excited to the very last and maybe inspired writer/director Gary Ross to create the world of "Pleasantville".
8 stars of 10.

Many may have only started to notice about Naomi Watts (like me) after her success in movies like 'The Ring', but this is one of her earlier ones.
The Everman family from New York were having a holiday in the Caribbean before they were being whisked off to somewhere else. To kind of admit, I did not really able to follow the plot at times but then looking at how like dolphins can really communicate with the human beings on the island the family got whisked off to after they were at the Bermuda Triangle, it's kind of a little surreal at times.
But you like a nice family-themed kind of movie with some adventure in between, then maybe this one is for you.
My final say is like what I had stated in the summary of this review.

Stupidity on stupidity, fantasy that makes zero sense, just toss every cliche into a bucket and stir. Isn't there any desire in Hollywood to be correct about anything? "There are no volcanoes in this part of the Caribbean," says the dialog, though the characters are midway between Montserrat and St. Kitts. Lmao. There was an internet by 1996, so that could have been looked up but you'd think they'd notice that half an island blew to smithereens while they wrote this travesty. Lazy lazy writing. Read a book from time to time, writers.
"No nudity!" says another review, and that's about the best thing going for this smarmy, cloying, nonsensical, inaccurate, pap. Oh, and my kid comes within six inches of killing me with a blow gun "by accident?" I'm tossing that brat off the boat before he grows up and learns about guns. Smh.
