Very classic Italian romantic comedy that makes you laugh and entertain. All in all, the film is very nice even if the comedy has aged a little and does not look as good as it was when it came out.
I loved this movie when I saw it in Italy two years ago. It ranks with the best of the recent Italian films I've seen (e.g. Il Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, Mediteraneo, Il Postino). I've been anxiously waiting for it to be released in the United States so I can urge all of my friends to see it. It is a charming tale about a collection of sympathetic characters, with good music and lovely visuals. See it if you get the chance.
Ahh yes...a very sweet love story set in the most beautiful sleepy town in Italy. The cast are wonderful to watch as they go about there trouble free life's.An innocent kind of love comes through in this film.....don't expect Hollywood to produce such pure pleasure....they still don't get it!It's great to see fresh natural beauty especially in the most beautiful Lorena Forteza...she comes across in a way that everyone can relate to.
For a light hearted comedy with a twist of innocents, you cant go past this one.
Enjoy

I'm not the kind of love film guy, but I enjoyed this movie very much. I haven't seen an Italian film since long and it impressed me by its typical latin feeling, live passion and even humour. And I'm very happy that I found in this movie a song that I've been looking for since many years but I didn't know it's name.
Levante Guarini (Leonardo Pieraccioni, also director) lives in a sleepy town in Italy, where nothing ever happens. Then one day a bus with six beautiful flamenco dancers from Spain arrive and nothing is the same.Il Ciclone from 1996 is a terribly funny Italian comedy.I found myself laughing at loud more than once.I watched it in the Italian class with a group of other students on Monday last week and I noticed I wasn't the only one laughing. Some of the moments that made me laugh were the awkward moments Levante had with his love interest Caterina (Lorena Forteza). Also the language barrier between the Italians and the Spanish offers some funny moments. This movie is a gem of European cinema. The Italians got it.You just watch this film and you'll come to the same conclusion; the Italians got it.

- TriviaThe voice of Gino, Levante's grandfather, is the voice of Mario Monicelli.
- GoofsIn the Italian original version, almost all Spanish characters (flamenco dancers), when speaking in Spanish, make a lot of mistakes, showing clearly that they are not at all native speakers (although they are supposed not to speak Italian either). The accent is more or less correct, but it all sounds strange and disturbing to a native speaker.
