Geraldine O'Rawe in Mariette in Ecstasy (2019)

Trivia

Mariette in Ecstasy

Edit
This movie was filmed in 1995 and completed in 1996. Although some preview screenings were held in 1996 in Los Angeles, it ended up never being properly released to the public, due to production company Savoy Pictures' financial troubles and eventual closure. It was shown for the first time at the 2019 Camerimage International Film Festival by director John Bailey, during a retrospective of his career.
On the set of this movie, Eva Marie Saint walked up to Geraldine O'Rawe, pointed at cinematographer Paul Sarossy, and told her "See that guy there? You should marry him." O'Rawe laughed it off, but eventually she and Sarossy started talking and got to know each other better. They began a relationship, and married in 1998.
Would serve as a posthumous release for both John Mahoney and Rutger Hauer, who died in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
Composer Leonard Rosenman had a score rejected.
The talented cast includes one Academy Award Winner, Eva Marie Saint, and one Academy Award Nominee, Mary McDonnell.
