I can't begin to tell you how much 'Scorned 2' surprised me. A direct sequel which I wasn't expecting and a lot of names from this genre both in front and behind the camera. Best part the story is a major improvement over the original and so is the T&A (two women, more skin). Tane McClure takes over the role from Shannon Tweed, but this erotic thriller is better than the low rating it's gotten.
Amanda (McClure) escaped capture after what she put the Weston family through and years later has remarried a psychology college professor Mark (Myles O'Brien). Repressed memories and therapy yet happy it all comes crashing down when he bangs aggressive student Cynthia (Wendy Schumacher) and she catches them in the act unseen. As old faces resurface so does renewed purpose for Amanda as she goes about destroying everyone the only way she knows how.
Directed by Rodney McDonald (Night Eyes 2 & 4), written by Sean McGinly (Sexual Roulette) and Jim Wynorski onboard as casting director (lol). However it's cinematographer Gary Graver who gives this T&A pic a real professional look with the way its shot. Maybe a higher budget this time too. Many more settings than the original had which was mostly confined to a solitary house. Andrew Stevens reprises to a smaller degree as the previous wife is recast and the original son is shown in flashbacks, pics and spells out his fate.
Only place 'Scorned 2' let me down was the finale. Feeling rushed and not believable, but otherwise I had a good time with it. Wendy at first looks like she's going to have the role of a twisted sex kitten instigating all the craziness, but that element dies as the movie progresses. Counted two sex scenes for her and one part gratuitous boobs. While Tane amazingly has four sex scenes all to herself. If you want a double dose of blondes with big boobs and murder this erotic thriller has you covered.

Tane' McClure takes over the role that Shannon Tweed made famous in Scorned 2. Although she could pass as Tweed's sister, she can't carry this film the way Tweed carried Scorned. The story is updated as we find Amanda has moved on, re-married, and settled down. Her new hubby is a professor at the local university. She's been having flashbacks of some horrifying experience in her past (they show scenes of the first Scorned) and is tormented by them. Her husband finally gives in to the extreme temptation of being an attractive professor surrounded by extra-horny college girls. Amanda catches her husband having sex with a student in his office, and that's when it all goes downhill. Plot twist after plot twist follow, as Amanda seeks some sweet revenge on her straying husband. I'm quite familiar with some of Tane' McClure's work, and this is one of her better movies. She doesn't get an A because she's playing a character that Shannon Tweed shined in, and she just falls short a bit (but not much). This flick gets a B+, watch it if you've got time on Friday night.
And off- pun intended, even if I just came up with it (no I am not claiming I coined that phrase/pun). Depending on what you expect to see here, you will either be excited (again there might be a pun here) or rather dissapointed. Although if you are the latter ... what did you actually expect? Yes there is a lot of skin and a lot of ... love making (you may call it something else too).
There is also a story that is barely hanging on by a thread. It is decent enough I reckon for a flick of this ... nature. And if you are thinking naughty by nature ... I will not stop you, because I am all for puns. All jokes aside, if you did not grew up liking movies of this kind, I doubt you will find anything appealing since movies have become way more explicit in many regards since then.
Be aware what you are embarking on here ... acting wise it could be worse, but also better. I doubt any twists will really surprise you.

The sequel to the good - at least 'good' as far as erotic B-grade thrillers go - Shannon Tweed vehicle brings back a lot of the characters from the original.
Unfortunately for the overall quality of the film - again, in inverted commas - Tweed is nowhere to be seen, and we have Tane McClure stepping in as the titular woman scorned.
It's not so much that McClure is not good - she has some good scenes, most of them sans clothes, it has to be said - it's more that Tweed was excellent in the original and set the bar high...a bar that isn't reached.
The producers would have been better off telling a similar story with a new batch of characters to avoid the inevitable comparison.
Not a bad watch, however nowhere near as good as the original.

This is probably one of the best erotic thrillers of all time. Two Beautiful women leading with a great supporting cast. Wendy Schumacher gives an excellent perfomance as a student in love with her teacher and having a boyfriend to the side. Tane McClure also stars as a gorgeous wife with a deadly past. All together this is a great movie.
