Barbie

Where as Oppenheimer didn't really have any point to make, anything to add to the conversation, this movie kind of had the opposite problem; it actually got a little heavy handed toward the end. Still, I enjoyed the ride a lot more.

Funny enough Barbie movie reminded me more of Southpark than anything else, with its trips into insane mirror worlds and tearing down and then rebuilding its source material.

Oh I need to keep going for 200 characters. Well, I didn't like how it was tearing into men excitedly sharing their interests, like helping with photoshop or talking about movies they like or singing. I could see the oversharing being frustrating if it's not a two way street, but the way the movie presented it was like "How dare men share their passions on dates!" Could have added some nuance to that.

What's not to like? Very entertaining, super funny throughout the film whilst still being heart-felt but not at all preachy. Great balance of barbie beauty and weirdness. Cast worked with eachother so wonderfully, Margot was the best decision, obviously, and Ryan was excellent. The writing was just the right amount of cheesy at times whilst still covering the feminine themes, a really well constructed and thought out film. Well done Greta.

I don't understand why it's getting so much hate when it was such a great movie.
