This is simply a chick flick. And not any old chick. Women in their 30s who watched 90210 religiously. It's great to see Brenda play another character. For once, she's not the evil one! If you note carefully, the blonde in this movie played Brenda's friend on one episode of 90. They must have really hit it off making fun of Tori! Sure, this is a flu movie. But it's also a movie for women like me who have had too long of a day, and just want to drink a bottle of wine, and relive the good old times, when none of us worked. Plus, we all secretly want to ruin the lives of our coworkers and people prettier than us. I find it funny that all the people trashing this movie seemed to have watched it the whole way through. They must have liked something about it.
all of the acting in this movie is mediocre at best, but it is one of the most addictive movies i have ever seen. since it is practically on a loop over at vh1, i have seen it at least 3 times.
frankly, neither shannen nor jennifer have great voices, but that is why it is so funny. the plot is really obvious from the beginning, and it is pretty trite. again, that is part of the charm.
shannen doherty is one of my least favorite 'actresses,' but she is so bad in this that it is wonderful. this is one of the best made for tv movies because it takes lame plots, one sided characters, and easily forseeable plot twists from all other movies before it.
i would recommend this when you are sick or bored, but it really needs no recommendation because it will suck you in.

okay, I just had to write a comment on this movie. I really liked the whole "jellous-at-the-better" idea. I haven't seen this subject before and I like it. Shannen was a great acteress and if it was she singing, which i doubt, it was good. This movie is high on the Shannen Doherty-list.

Wow, what a cool movie. This movie is great for people who are fans of Shannen Doherty because she sings a lot in it! Her name is Heather in the movie and she's in a band. And this other girl tries to take her life, or rather, replace her. I have to say two thumbs up. I saw it on tv. And it's on again in a couple days, so I'm going to tape it. Shannen Rocks in it, you just have to see it.
I have always loved this movie! I saw it when it debuted as a made got tv movie. Where can I buy it?? I'd love to watch it again :)
