Must watch old movie for thriller
OK, this movie may be old but is one of the best and underrated movies of 90s. Sunil and Naseruddin Shah both have performed well in this film. I like the transformation of a character that takes places as Suni Shetty avenges the wrong doing of a corrupt lustful cop played by Naseeruddin Shah. And of course the best of the movie is "Aankhon mein base ho tum". Watch this movie for suspense and revengeful action that places. I would give this movie a rating of 8.5 out of 10. The star cast of the movie is good and does a good job. I'm surprised this movie didn't do well at the box office. Maybe some audiences have bad taste, they prefer family and romance drama over crime drama not that there is anything wrong with family and or romance movies. Watch this for amazing story that takes places after the interval when Sunil tries to prove his innocence and for the beautiful Sonali Bendre.
A decent one time watch film from 90s.
Takkar is a romantic thriller film directed by Late Bharat Rangachary. The film stars Suniel Shetty, Naseeruddin Shah, Sonali Bendre, Late Shafi Inamdar, Archana Puran Singh, Mohan Joshi, Ishrat Ali, Pramod Moutho and Late Ajit Vachani.
A photographer is framed by a corrupt police officer a day before his wedding. In the jail he studies law to take revenge against the corrupt police officer and is supported by some dreaded criminals who are also looking for a revenge against the police officer.
The film which is inspired by the Hollywood film 'Unlawful Entry' is surprisingly good and should be called an underrated film. The film may not be a masterpiece or one of it's kind but still deserves much better rating then what the film currently has.
The screenplay of the film is decent and will keep the viewers engaged. The songs of the film are average and apart from 'Aankhon mein base ho tum' none of the song is worth remembering.
Acting is superb and all the characters were impressive with a special mention for Naseer who was just terrific in the role of a corrupt police officer. Suniel Shetty was also impressive and Sonali Bender looked very pretty. Support cast was also impressive,
Climax of the film is also decent. A good one time watch film from 90s.
