    pretty good

I liked this movie and would really like to see it again. What I'd really like to do is buy it but can't find it anywhere. I caught it on WE like other users but didn't get to see it again to tape it. The acting was kinda iffy but Jonathan Cake was beautiful. It gave you a good feeling like a romance novel does. I'd recommend it if you have a non-busy day to yourself.

Diamond Girl is a decent distraction

This is actually not that bad of a movie. While certainly the script and the acting leave much to be desired, there is actually great chemistry between all of the actors. I feel bad for Dyan Cannon, who is a surprise to see in this and horribly underutilized. If you happen to catch this movie (I saw it on WE - formerly the Romance Network) plan on doing something else while you watch it - like opening a bottle of wine and working on a puzzle or something. And make sure no men are around as I doubt they'd be able to stand anymore than 5 minutes or so. The movie "Diamond Girl" is sort of like pizza rolls, so terribly bad for you and greasy, processed and cheaply made, yet you find yourself consuming the lot until the very end.

this movie has the romantic essentials. it has the eye looking, friendship, attraction, the complications, and the happy ending. for all the romantics out there this movie is great for you. i personally wouldn't mind having this movie in my collecion. trust me if your not a romantic this movie is not for you.

Good if you know what you are comparing it too.

In the UK we have a publishing house called Mills & Boon who specialise in romance novels. These books are not long about 230 pages and does what it says on the tin!! It is about the meeting and falling in love of two people and the obstacles they face along the way. Now if you have read any of these books you WILL appreciate Diamond Girl. I am not ashamed to say that my wife and I have read a number of Mills and Boon and this film is a good tribute to those books. The story was simple and the chemistry between the actors was there and I think Jonathan Cake is a classic Mills & Boon man. I enjoyed this film immensely and I am very happy to say that I have it as part of my DVD collection and when I need to some light entertainment to get me through an hour and a Half I will happily turn to the film Diamond Girl.
