Just watch the cartoons and not the movie

This is the most annoying animated movie from I have ever seen. It never lets up for a second. The only way I can describe this movie is a bunch of kids jumping up and down on a bed yelling.

The film was made in 1989 and it's opens with an introduction by Felix the cat. However this intro is a CGI head that might scare people out of the theater. The rest of the film, however, is rendered in hand-drawn animation. So the CGI Felix head is compliantly pointless. the rest of the film is a just a noise, noise, noise that insults your intelligence.

There have been many movies based of of other cartoons but they mostly suck.

    Such as Speed Racer(2008) Scooby Doo(2002) Garfield(2004) Yogi Bear(2010) Alvin and the Chipmunks(2007) Underdog(2007 The Smurfs(2011)

My advise to you is to keep away from this one and stay with the cartoons.

Overall, the movie was good, although Felix himself can get really annoying.

In general, this was an interesting movie, using some of the world's first computer animation for special effects. Made right after Czechloslovakia was ridding itself of Communism, this production had a wonderful team of voice actors playing a diverse cast of characters. Overall, the movie was good, although Felix himself, his personality, and his voice can all get really annoying. The animation was quite interesting, as well as the artwork gone into it. It may not be the best movie for everyone, but has always been one of my favorites. I suggest you at least try to see it.

Good film but not the best

I watched the film on the official YouTube upload from the official Felix the Cat YouTube channel. It was a great watch even tho the plot didn't make sense. This movie deserves more love and I'm upset that it flopped, the animation had potential it's a great movie for Felix lovers, I suggest you watch this film it's good. Even tho Felix can be annoying the movie still works I think that the SG head of Felix at the start and the end credits of the film worked. Felix deserves more love, the second movie Felix saves Christmas didn't work but the first movie does work. This is the best movie for a character that has been around since 1919.

    Disappointing Felix first movie

This is a complete mess on what this movie is all about. The story is your standard journey with Felix going to rescue a princess from her evil uncle. It doesn't even bother on explaining the newcomer on who Felix is and the magic bag that he has with him. The movie itself is more obnoxious on how many thing is going on and too many noises throughout. It feel like they put too much of the stuff he encounter throughout. Also, it feel like the movie rushing itself on how things happened pretty quickly or even have any build up with it. The characters are extremely bland and feel complete unnecessary in the movie. Even The Professor and his nephew are barely introduce or even explain why they want his bag. The voice acting is pretty bad on how annoying it is. And the movie ends in a anticlimactic way.

The animation itself is also bad on how it feel jerky and poor it is. It feel like a Saturday Morning Cartoon and the budget is really low. There's also a CGI part at the opening which feel completely unnecessary.

Felix the Cat: The Movie is a cheap movie that isn't enjoyable at all and you rather skip this movie.

    Just okay.

I used to have this on VHS. I would watch it and make it up to about a half hour and give up. I sat through the whole thing once and I still did not care for it.

The movie does have cheesy but enjoyable jokes. For example, Felix follows a light that talks, and he falls in a hole that he leads her into. He then says: "I think I'm beginning to fall for you!" I enjoyed stuff like that.

I COULD nick pick what snippets of the movie I enjoyed. Everything else was boring and not compelling. And some characters have annoying voices-like Felix, and the villain's also evil nephew.

Oh, and the nephew has a random shot of him picking his nose for 3 seconds, with sound effects. He never does that again, so what was the point of that? Linus in the Charlie Brown specials sucks his thumb, continuously-it's a part of his character. But this nephew picks his nose ONCE for no reason at all. What a waste of paper for that to be drawn!

Oh, and speaking of which, this is not the best looking animated movie, either. Oliver and Company and The Land Before Time came out the same year, and both look way better!

Just skip this movie. The good moments are not even really worth it. There are much better movies to show your kids.
