Do You Wanna Know A Secret? This movie is terrible. Save your time and money. Watch something else. It makes no sense. In fact, it is just plain idiotic. The acting is bad, too. This is a real clunker. Must have been made on a shoestring budget.
I normally have no problem walking away from a bad movie, however this was an unique case. This movie was so bad that I actually sat through the whole thing almost praying it would have one minute of good movie time to justify the hour and a half that was wasted. Needless to say I was brutally disappointed. Set at a beach house where a group of college friends are celebrating vacation, this movie suffers from numerous problems making it not worth seeing. First, there are gaping plot holes. Second, very few of the C-list (i don't even dare call them B) actors can act worth a damn, so any scenes that have potential fail miserably. Third, the rate of the film is very choppy and awkward to watch most of the time making suspense building very difficult, leading to very few surprises for the audience. Fourth and most importantly, the ending is completely anti-climatic partially because of how it ends (setting/who the killer turns out to be) and partially because the dialog is just atrocious. To the films credit, it is the only movie that I will ever say is the worst movie I have ever scene, and i've seen a lot.
So, just like a bad joke you would have been all the happier never hearing, the next time someone asks you if you want to know a secret you will be yelling no, you really don't as you run in the opposite direction.

If you're going to slice and dice a bunch of youthful ingenues as a plot premise, then you definitely need to cater to your audience in the tried and true tradition of such things. All the horror set pieces here are pretty routine and surprisingly mild. Most audiences can forgive non-actors in horror films, but why would you gather together a bunch of hot bodies during the casting call and not have any of the pulchritude on display once filming started? Unforgivable. It's a big mistake not to provide some T and A in this kind of genre film; and if a beefy little stud like Joey Lawrence isn't going to display his ass, then the audience should get to see him gutted and gurgling!
Do You Wanna Know A Secret is one of the worst slasher movies out there. After, the brilliant Scream came out loads of copy-cat movies came out. (The only great ones were, Valentine, I know what you did last summer 1+2, Urban Legend 1+2 and H20.) Some weren't so bad but this one is awful. Joseph Lawrence stars in this movie, and he's okay here but the rest of the cast are bad and I mean bad. I don't think we'll be seeing much of them in the acting industry. The person who turned out to the killer was ridiculous and most of the film just wasn't believable. I give Do You Wanna Know A Secret a 2/10.
College kids renting a vacation house are slaughtered all because they know some deep, dark secret.
Lame, and I mean lame slasher movie with no logic, no brains, and worst of all no T&A. Slow and boring, this slasher film tries to be like I Know What You Did Last Summer, but fails on all counts. Avoid it.
Rated R; Graphic Violence and Profanity.
