I saw this short film at the "Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival" in Birmingham, AL. I didn't go out of my way to see it or anything, but came accross it accidently. I was very pleased I did, though. Being a Josh Hartnett fan, it was incredible to see some of his earlier work. The film in itself is wonderful. The speed, colors, and story were great. A short film about a crazy teen trying to figure out the perfect insurance scam left me in awe. I recommend this film to everyone who enjoys "out of the ordinary" moives.

This "alleged" short goes on forever. It is pretentious and boring. I cannot possibly understand why anyone who has half a brain would sit through a second helping of this leering edsel.

This is the kind of short film made by a man who loves himself too much.

This cornucopia of visual and aural delights by first-time filmmaker Brooks astounds. After over a dozen viewings, the texture and layering of this intense and surreal film continue to reveal themselves to me -- something new and exciting with every viewing. The mastery of the writer/director is perfectly matched by the presence and pitch performance of the spellbinding Hartnett, who shows clearly why he has ascended the Hollywood hierarchy with such rapid aplomb and astuteness. The angst and pain of the entitled and alienated Gen-Y character, embelmatic of his generation (give me more, give it to me now, "let me be desired by") strikes an exposed nerve with a surgeon's touch, conveying the voice of the Napster generation with one deft swipe. There is a new voice in modern cinema. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

What an absolute piece of garbage. Thank god I only had to endure 15 minutes of this writer/director's self-indulgent masturbation. Angst is not story, and this is not a filmmaker. No wonder I haven't heard more about this film even though it top-lines Josh Hartnett, otherwise a fine actor. Terrible...absolutely terrible. And since I don't want to waste another single minute over this hackneyed drivel, I'll leave it at that.

if you volunteer for community service in order to pump yourself up by brow-beating the weak;

if you pride yourself on your dogmatic blinkers;

if you take any criticism to be a fearful attack on your infantile narcissistic world;

if you confuse shooting fish in a barrel with a higher spiritual practice;

if you hate anyone who doesn't feel, talk or look the way they're supposed to;

if you live to decorate your rut;

THEN DO NOT WATCH THIS FILM.
