    Not a good idea

As a one off this show might have worked but to option it as an entire series beggars belief.

The appeal of the original show is that the babies are more clued up than the parents yet in a skewed naive kind of way (mispronouncing mundane things and making them sound fantastical etc.) or from similar innocent dream/make believe sections.

Now the kids are "All grown up" or pre-teens which with the high teenage pregnancy rate shouldn't really be seen as all grown up their is little to differentiate it from shows like Recess or All About Ginger (a show which is not thought of so highly i believe).

Either get some new INVENTIVE/ORIGINAL ideas for the original show or leave it as comedy gold in syndication. Scrap this rubbish and save money on animation cells.

For good or for bad, it revived interest in Rugrats

By the time this special was made, Rugrats was already being accused of jumping the shark with the addition of divisive characters such as Dil or Kimi. While I personally don't dislike them, I have to admit that the show seemed to be running out of ideas.

This special, perhaps as a symbolic celebration of the first decade of Rugrats on air, revived a lot of interest in the franchise, and opened the door for many new stories.

Contrary to what The Simpsons writers seem to think, people do enjoy seeing characters growing up and changing instead of being perpetually static.

That was the main appeal this special (and the spin-off series which it inspired) had, and it was a more than welcomed change, disregard of the typical high school cliches.

To this day, All Grown Up! Remains to be the best Rugrats spin-off.

Rugrats is awesome and amazing and the best show ever.

Rugrats is awesome and amazing and the best show ever. Tommy is sweet, kind, awesome and friendly tommy is also a very good friend he is also the cutest boy in Rugrats. Lil is awesome, sweet, pretty and excellent she is also a very good friend to tommy. Angelica is very nice to the rugrats but mostly to tommy she is also very pretty and likes music how do I know I see her listening to her cd player all the time. Susie is nice and gets in fights with angelica a lot. Chuckie is a little bet ugly because he has braces but he is funny.Phil is Funny and his voice didn't change at all. My favorite characters are Tommy Pickles and Lil Deville because they are very cute. Please Don't cancel Rugrats because I love it so much.
