Growing up as a little kid in the 80's I was into pro wrestling watching it on TV, and it's impact on pop culture grew with action figures. And you guessed it they took it to kids with this "CBS" Saturday morning cartoon "Rock 'n' Wrestling". It was colorful and in animation with stories and adventures of real life "WWF" wrestlers. Featuring fan favorite Hulk Hogan was a treat for little hulk want to be's. The conflict with the wrestling bad guys like Pipper and Shiek was fun as trouble was found like in most cartoons and the theme song was a catch as this series really was a draw to young ones to be bigger "WWF" fans. Overall classic memorable series.
A lot of youngsters looked up to Hulk Hogan in the 1980's and it was nice to have a cartoon for them to watch. Just like many 1980's cartoons, the stories were very altruistic and emphasized things such as loyalty, friendship and honour. Hulk Hogan was joined by his buddies such as Captain Lou Albano and Superfly Jimmy Snuka to battle Roddy Piper and his cronies.
The stories were quite moralistic throughout and I guess the moral was not to take shortcuts or cheat. In one memorable episode, the bad guys tried to cheat in a baseball game but the episode showed how cheaters do not prosper. Hogan and his buddies would always be there to help out those in need.
I was an adult when I first watched this but I found it a great cartoon to watch. Go Hulk Go!

I personally used to love this show back then. But now, its terrible. I have seen a few videos I have and I look back and see that this show was bad... The voices were not correct and when they showed live action segments, it proved more that it really was not the wrestlers doing the voices.
To quote an old saying from a famous man "Anything can happen in the World Wrestling Federation".
Well even outside the World Wrestling Federation a cartoon can be made with many of it's famous WWF Superstars.
The series follow the adventures of many WWF Superstars who were places into two groups, The Good Wrestlers leaded by Hulk Hogan and the bad Wrestlers lead by Rowdy Roddy Pipper.
However despite the show features animation WWF Superstars none of the wrestlers did the voice over for the characters only did short live action skits for the show.
The wrestlers were voiced by professional voice actors.D.I.C. did the animation for the show.
Some of the episodes were interesting some not so much it did feature an good theme song and the intro show Hulk Hogan live action then the cartoon take itself.
So over all Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n' Wrestling had to be one of the most interesting shows of the 1980s so if you're a fan of the 80s and The WWF you might want to give it a try.

Rock 'n' Wrestling was fun entertainment for adults and children alike. Storylines were light and fluffy and great fun. There's no reason why a similar show made now with the latest WWF wrestlers couldn't work either. I'd watch it. Imagine Rock, Stone Cold, HHH, Kurt Angle and Undertaker in a cartoon together!

- TriviaDespite the characters and subject matter, wrestling itself was hardly ever featured or even referenced. It was simply a plot device to determine the heroes from the villains. It was therefore appropriate that Hogan be the leader of the good guys. As he was long considered the epitome of good in wrestling. Roddy Piper was equally justified in being the leader of the bad guys. As he was often, even to this day, considered the greatest villain in professional wrestling history.

Rowdy Roddy Piper: What's the matter, Hogan? Afraid you might be outclassed?
Hulk Hogan: The only way you freaks could outclass us is in a dogshow!
