Scotland Yard's Inspector Durrant has his work cut out, dealing with the murder of a woman, Mrs Preston, who was discovered fatally injured by her husband, and the sudden appearance of a man who's seemingly suffering with amnesia.
Ok, so it wasn't particularly challenging to put two and two together, and work out who the guilty party was.
I wonder if amnesia was a condition that would have been well known to audiences in 1954, anyhow the theme is well used here.
It's hard not to be mindful of the array of English accents on display, all RP, not even The Gypsy could muster a Regional accent, it's quite amusing.
It looks pretty good, it's well filmed and nicely edited. Some really wonderful shots of London, it looked so incredibly different.
6/10.

Gordon Bell (1910-1998) was one of those British characters who had small roles in big films and big roles in small films. Here he plays an inspector working on a case of dead woman discovered by her husband. Thw story is a slight one, but the episode manages to convey the series' messages on the importance of fidelity and truth in marriage as the basis of social cohesion.
