    T'was OK

Definitely better than the approximate rating of 2 that this film gets from about 30 votes, but not as good as the 8 and 9 out of 10 ratings it gets from other reviewers. My favorite part was the camp flashback. The film is about and old woman and a struggling actor stuck inside an elevator over thanksgiving weekend. The two learn more about each other than expected, and the characters are either very simple and contradicting or complex, confused, and trying to cope (alliteration not intended). Watch it if you see it on TV. I don't feel that I've wasted time in my life watching it, and if I saw it on again, Id probably sit down and watch it, but don't go out of your way to get a hold of this.

    The End.

    Good use of technology

I found Famous dead people to be an excellent film.

It kind of feels like Blair Witch, without the shaky shots. I really enjoyed it because it does more than show you the security cameras angle on things, it lets you see into the emotions of two very scared people.

Best Canadian Film I've seen this year!!!

Gritty, believable, hard-wired psycho-drama that will appeal to those who like the film noir angst of Hitchcock with a touch of indy adrenaline. Acting was solid, particularly from Jason Carter and an excellent directorial debut from Erin Whalen.

    A worthy indy effort

The strength of this movie is in the concept - two lost souls stuck in an elevator and captured on a video surveillance camera- simple, yet a brilliant premise for an indy movie. The fundamental dichotomy of the human animal as both social and selfish is well illustrated here, as the two simultaneously turn toward one another for emotional support, and against one another when it comes to sharing their meager supplies. As the their situation worsens, these forces pull at the actors like two ends of a rubber band - and we all know what happens when you stretch an elastic too far...
