As I've had to point out time and time again, Playboy loved to reuse their vast archive of footage so we find 'Primetime Playmates' is another cash-in showcasing ladies who went on to have success or bit appearances on tv. As none of the material is new we get host Lauren Michelle Hill - Feb 2001 - who won the Playmate edition of 'Fear Factor'.
"Pamela Anderson" is first and if you've seen any of her material then chances are great you've seen this before. First topless in a skirt and stockings. Then a boy/girl memory (5 mins). "Nikki Schieler" has her carnival style segment ripped from her 1997 Playmate profile (3 mins). "Heather Kozar" is all footage from her PMOTY 1999 video (2 mins). "Renee Tenison" is in a bathtub full of milk taken from her profile too which also seen in 'Women of Color' (2 mins).
"Stephanie Heinrich" is the campus routine taken from her Playmate profile to no surprise (2.5 mins). "Julie McCullough" gets featured in some really old looking footage taken from her Playmate profile all the way back from Feb 1986 (2.5 mins). As you can see, it's hard to be enthusiastic about what's going on here. I might as well mention too that the theme is a stretch. Pamela Anderson is the only one who really went on to have a successful acting career.
"Laura Cover" (2.5 mins), "Shanna Moakler" (3 mins), "Anna-Marie Goddard" (2 mins), "Jennifer Walcott" (2 mins), "Daphnee Duplaix" (2.5 mins), "Lisa Dergan" (3.5 mins), "Jaime Bergman" (3.5 mins), "Julie Cialini" (3.5 mins), "Priscilla Taylor" (2 mins), "Nicole Narain" (3.5 mins), "Stacy Sanches" (5 mins), "Angel Boris" (2 mins) and finally host "Lauren Michelle Hill" (4.5 mins) wrap things up.
'Primetime Playmates' isn't the first title I've seen do this and I'm sure it won't be the last. A practice that's getting harder to really tolerate. Watchable if you haven't seen your share of Playboy videos, but in good conscience I rate this rehashed selection of footage pretty low.
