Absolutely perfect farce

What a marvelous concoction this was. Perfectly cast, delightfully performed, superbly directed. What a tragedy this version cannot be seen today. With the exception of Peter Sellers, the film version was a travesty, more along the lines of chitty chitty bang bang.

Trivia
Hugh Griffith had played the same role in the London stage production of Anouilh's play, whilst Mildred Natwick had played her role in the Broadway production.
