Jean-Claude Van Damme in Wake of Death (2004)

Trivia

Wake of Death

Edit
Ringo Lam was the original director but he left the project after a few weeks of filming in Canada.
After Ringo Lam left the project, Cess Silvera was brought in to direct, but was fired after two weeks of filming in Cape Town, South Africa.
After he did Wake of Death, Jean Claude Van Damme's next action film was going to be a "Die Hard in a casino" type action thriller titled "Cover Play". In it, he would play a reformed thief (called Eddie Reed) who is accidentally trapped inside a casino which gets taken over by Russian terrorists, who also take everyone inside as hostages, and he would then have to save them, and stop the terrorists. Despite lot of interest by Van Damme's fans about him starring in such film, especially since Sudden Death, another Die Hard-like film, is considered as one of Van Damme's best and most underrated films, it was left unmade, and he instead went on to star in Second in Command, and The Hard Corps.
Simon Yam and Philip Tan work together in Lara Croft Tomb Raiders Cradle of Life.
