I just finished watching this movie and I am very disappointed.
The explanation: The story is actually good! Very good and very funny. It seems like a parody to all the similar "horrors". But the actors were mostly awful. And everything else was awful to.. for example: when the cat jumps through the window, we actually see a hand which has pushed the cat through it. Also the blond actress has too much powder on..her face is a lot darker than the rest of her body and you can also see a line between dark and bright skin. I feel I could tape this film with my own camera...so,everything was bad except the story herself. I think they should have left direction and production of this film to someone who is better in it, because it could be a hit,you know...

Trying to uphold his family's legacy, a serial killer from a long-line of deranged maniacs tries to make a name for himself by targeting a coed and her friends who are hosting a special party at their sorority house, but when a second killer shows up he's forced to make a name for himself at all costs.
This was a fantastically fun and silly type of feature. The outright goofy setup that takes place here, focusing on the outlandish idea of the killer trying to go about rectifying the reputation of his inept family by handling the rampage at the local college, is a great way to bring about a fun mix of comedic interludes and attempts at genuine genre thrills. Focusing on the infiltration of the sorority after a series of ineffective attempts at taking out victims but only finding out the series of inept bungling and clumsy antics he displayed while targeting the stragglers makes him an even more ineffective killer against a group of generally clueless coeds who are in the middle of a celibacy party with their horny boyfriends. The fact that a second killer arrives and forces him into a competition makes for the most amount of fun here, with everything being played up for laughs to the point of making this far more enjoyable than it should be. On top of that, the series of spoofs and gags playing up the genre tropes only adds to the laughs present. From a killer using his mask to terrify victims only to have them not be scared of the chosen disguise and fight back enabling them to escape, brandishing ineffective weapons at victims only for them to pull out more imposing ones to chase him off, or listening to a group of guys try to explain the rules of a romantic comedy to get lucky with their girlfriends, it all makes this one come off so overtly silly and goofy that the tone of the release is straightforward lighthearted from the beginning. It has the potential to border on being too ludicrous or silly for some to take and be put off by how it handles everything, but that's the main issue here as a personal-preference drawback.
Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence and Graphic Language.

I look at the negative posts on this site for the film Sever Injuries and have to wonder what these people were thinking. Okay, sure there's no nudity in it, but that's okay. The jokes are good, the laughs are aplenty and the women come in all shapes and sizes instead of the Hollywood cookie cutter syndrome. Not all men like the exact same woman, get with it people. Plus, my favorite, stand out moment was the parody of Scream where the guy explains how to survive a chick flick. Debbie Rochon came across as a psycho madwoman which was pretty funny. The idea of a serial killer who comes from a long line of wanna be serial killers is pretty funny as well. And for the one person who said there was no gore in the flick. Did you actually watch it. There's a huge, well done aftermath of a slaughter sequence at the end of the film which pays homage to most slasher flicks that used the same device in hundreds of films. Peopl who have no tolerance for micro budget film making really deserve the mountain of dreck that Hollywood foists upon them year after year. Severe Injuries is a great addition to the horror comedy genre.
"Severe Injuries" pretty much establishes Amy Lynn Best as a totally professional (and clever) force in the Low-budget film world. Charlie Fleming has his best role as the inept would-be killer, and Jasi Cotton Lanier's bits are very funny.
Film is also top notch in all technical aspects and contains a surprise appearance by an actress in what could be one of her most memorable appearances ever.
Like "The Resurrection Game", this Happy Cloud Productions effort has a lot of surprise touches. Indie Film legend Debbie Rochon even shows up! Think the DVD may come with the short subject "Were-Girll" with Jasi Cotton Lanier, which was Best' first effort and also very funny.

First let me say this story had possibilities but the casting department for sure needs to be put on waivers. Was there any acting talent on display ? Yes, but not enough to save this ! Deb Rochon again does her best to give a rousing hearty performance & does very well in her effort. Lilith Stabs is the only other positive. Now my question to the producer is, " why go to the trouble of casting a professional dominatrix/ fetish model as the house slut if her SMBD/fetish talents are ignored " ? Instead of her carrying a gun a paddle, cane, crop or whip would be much more real for her. Likewise her attire could have consisted of some Thigh Hi spike heel boots & corsets. All told this was not a good movie.
