The film was in the news due to what happened during the making of the film. Shakti Kapoor ended up at Ektaa Sohini's birthday party uninvited. Shakti had just argued with his wife that they should attend the party together. Shivangi refused saying she was not invited and knew nobody there.. She also.forbid Shakti to go to party uninvited. Shakti arrived at the party at midnight with some roses and started talking to all the guests. His eyes fell on a 16 year old named Nazneen Irani. Shakti told her she was beautiful and should be a model. Nazneen told him she had no interest im films. He told everyone Nazneen was like a daughter to him. Nazneen wanted to take the roses home when Shakti told her she should not as they were Ektaa's. When Shakti was exiting the party at 3 am with Nazneen's family, an angry Shivangi arrived and slapped Nazneen by the front gate. Shakti Kapoor was horrified and had no idea why this happened. He demanded Shivangi say sorry but she walked off angrily. When Nazneen spoke to the media, he stated she referred to Shakti Kapoor as Shakti uncle and he behaved very respectful with her. Shivangi saw her exiting with roses with Shakti walking behind her and got the wrong idea.
