Mayor Meanswell prepares for the arrival of his niece, Stephanie, in Lazy Town. When she arrives, she is horrified to find all the children only want to play computer games and eat 'candy.' The Laziest villain, Robbie Rotten, reinforces this with extra sweets and the latest video games so Stephanie writes a letter to the town's very own superhero, Sportacus. Will he be able to triumph over the devious Robbie Rotten?

When a panicked Mayor asks the children to help him bake a cake for Bessie's birthday, it's a success until the cake goes missing. The evidence acquired by detective Sherlock Foams - Robbie in disguise - points to Sportacus, who is tried and placed in LazyJail, and to free him Ziggy and the gang must solve the riddle of the swiped sweets.

Stephanie's diary is where she keeps all of her thoughts and fun stories about her friends in LazyTown. But when Robbie Rotten writes some nasty notes on pink paper for Trixie and the others to find, Stephanie is suddenly faced with a group of angry friends. She doesn't understand why they are so upset and their friendship is put to the test. However, with a little encouragement from Sportacus, Stephanie finally shows them what's really in her diary and everyone has a change of heart - even Robbie Rotten.

When Sportacus declines to enter LazyTown's dance contest, Stephanie is convinced to enter. Meanwhile, Robbie Rotten, using a new invention to make a bigger slice of cake, accidentally enlarges his Robbie action figure, which enters Robbie Rotten in the dance contest. While Stephanie relaxes instead of practicing since her only competition is Robbie, Robbie invents a dancing robot that can do anything... except lose.
2005
The kids start a sky watching club and build a teeter-totter-powered rocket, but Ziggy is reminded he's the youngest and smallest of the kids and isn't allowed to participate. When Robbie Rotten dresses as an alien to scare the kids into silence so he can nap, Ziggy adopts "Zobbie" as his new friend. When the gang tries to launch the alien back to his home planet, Ziggy takes over the rocket, leading to Sportacus's most stratospheric rescue attempt ever.
