Short but barely pausing for breath, this apocalyptic, cyber punk extravaganza is fun all the way. Bit of politics, some philosophy, lots of death and dying but mainly vigorous and sexy sex. Rock music, incest, bunny costumes plus Superman as anti hero, it's all here so if you are looking for a lively exciting one hour + you couldn't do much better. It goes without saying as a bonus that this film could have been made nowhere else but in the good old land of the rising sun. Did I mention the filling of a water pistol with the boyfriend's cum in her vagina and firing it at his face? Now there's something you don't get with Spielberg & Co!

This experimental film from Takahisa Zeze explores love, life, sex, and death throughout the course of five explicit vignettes told through the rules of postmodern cinema, with a very complex script narrated through a non-linear interlocking montage. All the beauty of Tokyo X Erotica is also due to the ambiguity of its characters, appearing at first as clichés, to become more and more intriguing and indefinable. The atmosphere created is the very meaning of scintillating and suspense levels are to the maximum. "Tokyo X Erotica" appears purposeful as a realistic excavation and examination of disconcerting characters in threatening situations - the utmost dregs of society and those affected by them which is not often witnessed in motion pictures. A perfect blend of early Japanese Roman Porno with Lynch and Junichi Suzuki which is only for the acquired taste.
