The character of Buzzy was originally written as a man. When Hilary Swank read the script, it was the character that "spoke to" her the most, and she asked Writer and Director Greg Marcks to re-write the role as a woman so that she could play it, and he agreed.

(at around 13 mins) When Jack runs and hides from the police officer, he runs behind a wood pile. Jack freaks out as he touches a piece of wood and it rolls towards the house. This is due to Frank's dog peeing on that wood in a deleted scene.
