animal crossing is a great game. basically, it an open ended life video game, you pay off debts, furnish your house, talk to neighbors, and even go fishing. one of my favorite features about it is the fact that it goes by in real time, whether your playing or not. And, the holidays are recognized in the game; the animals in the game will always be wishing you a merry Christmas when it actually is Christmas, or fooling you when its April fools day. My only complaint is that sometimes; when you talk to someone, it can get extremely boring; they won't stop talking! so overall, if you like "life" games, definitely play this one. its probably the best out there. it should be noted, though, that there is no ending to it. And, its never really challenging. But still, be sure to check this one out. its the type of game that's good for playing almost all the time; especially when your bored. it will surely keep you entertained for quite a while.
This game is VERY addictive, it may look childish but even adults play this game! It is a very fun game, especially for kids. In the game you must take care of the town you live in, you get to even name the town! Every town is always different and it takes a few days to get used to it. There are many charecters that live in your neighborhood, some are nice, some are snobby and some are even pretty moody. There are animals that live in your town such as wolves, bears, hawks, birds, cats, lions, tigers, and many more. You should really try out this game!

In 2002, I was on the internet and came across Animal Crossing on a video game website. I instantly was drawn into this weird, kiddie-looking game. When i first saw the screen shots, i was so excited and knew i wanted this game immediately. Animal Crossing is the game that never ends. Really. It's a game that lives and breathes in real time! Which means, if it's Christmas here, it's Christmas on Animal Crossing! Starting the game, you are on a train, and answer questions to determine what your character will look like. There are many different faces you could end up with. You start out with a small house and by paying your loan to the post office, you could get expansions to your house, like an upstairs or a basement. Animal Crossing offers something most games don't: your own life. In AC, you choose your life! Pick the clothes you wear, put different furniture in your house, or make designs for your shirts or umbrellas! There is so much to do in AC! Fish, hunt for bugs, go to the island, talk to the villagers, mail your friends in your village, by furniture, wallpaper, carpet, and clothes, and even visit other towns with other memory cards! If you have a GameCube, and 20 bucks, buy this game! NOW! WARNING: This game is very addictive!!! -perfect(10/10)
You may have played The Sims or Harvest Moon, but you have no
idea how perfect Animal Crossing is.
At first, I thought this game was kiddy too... Come on, how many
games nowadays don't have a little bit of violence? The graphics
looked bad and childish, but... I gave it a try.
Let me just put in this way: I played this game for about two hours
every single day for a year and I never, ever got tired or sick of it.
The replay value is infinite, you never run out of things to do.
There's always someone to talk to, some insects, fish, furniture or
clothing to collect... You must be really careful, because this game
leaves you addicted to it like no other. You may spend more time
living your virtual life than your real life and you won't even notice.
Now that you've been warned, I suggest you to play this one, the
best game ever made.

Most people are saying that the GameCube is kiddy- system. This is partly true. Nintendo cares about all the people that play video games, so they make all kinds of games. Animal Crossing is one thats intended for everyone, kids can find it fun, teenagers will, too, and even some adults will (my dad plays it all the time). You may look at the graphics and wonder, "What were they smoking when they designed this?" The look is definatley "kid- friendly" and is made to look anything but realistic, but the actual game makes up for it.
You start as a kid who moved away from his parents and went to live with a whole bunch of colorful, fuzzy animals. Once there, you'll get a job, pay off debts for your house, send letters to other animals, find fossils to put in the museum, catch bugs and fish, decorate your own house and much more. This is one of the greatest games I've ever played and I would recomend it to everyone.
My score- 9 out of 10
