    Should Husbands Marry?

Jay Belasco and father-in-law George French have tickets to the opera with their wives, Ethel Lynne and Jean Hathaway. But they'd rather be playing poker. They feign sickness, send the ladies out, then repair to the game. But the wives suspect what is going on, and hire a private detective.

The Christie's were going through a rough patch in 1918-1919. They had lost their American distributor because the tide had turned against their polite form of drawing-room comedy on screen; soon they would throw in the towel and go full slapstick. But for the moment, they continued at the same stuff, and this comparatively dull effort shows why.
