Petualangan Cinta Nyi Blorong

Both, this movie n 91/2 Weeks releasd in 1986.

Saw this for the first time recently n got enticed cos of the medusa style snake woman poster and to be honest I was in the mood for such kinda movie cos I got tired of the recent Hollywood movies. Got totally disappointed with Predator Badlands.

This movie opens with a man (cross between Bruce Lee and Shahrukh Khan) in a denim jacket and rubber boots in scorching sunlight chasing a bunch of women, i expected the women to be naked but alas.

A snake queen in a woman form appers n talks to the man. Later a fake plastic head burst open n voila a python with a crown emerges.

Wait i thot its supposed to be a snake woman. The scene abruptly cuts to a man named Burhan attempting to rape his girlfriend. Burhan escapes when policemen saves the woman. Burhan travels via jungle cos we get to see giraffe n lions. Burhan meets another snake woman who gives him the direction for the earlier snake queen who grants him riches but he has to drink the blood of 3 women n feast on the assets.

Nah man! That's so anti female camaraderie.

Out of the blue Burhan turns into a cheap dracula with the imitation of the 70s Christopher Lee.

Burhan feeds on the assets but we don't get to see any nudity. The only time we get to see something is via a magazine.

Finally we get to see an erotic dance n some assets via a see thru dress.

We have a flying chariot, some martial arts, lottuva snakes and the best is 5th grade value education/moral science classroom teaching "earn money via hardwork and do not worship any false God.

If you spot a kitchen sink, chances are it's the one that didn't go into making this certifiable Indonesian exploitation / genre film. The plot has a selfish creep named Burhan / Brian making a deal with the title deity to become a rich & powerful man; the catch is that he must kill three women, drink their blood, and eat their breasts (!). And that's just the *beginning* of the story.

Don't look for anything resembling great characterization or a coherent plot. *Do* be prepared for a wild, hilarious smorgasbord of outre ideas, as well as the expected nudity, a fair amount of violence, utterly tacky effects, some striking visual design, and some absolutely priceless bad dubbing which makes this "so bad it's good" oddity even "better".

Recommended viewing for people who seek out quirky cult oddities from around the globe, "The Hungry Snake Woman" is amusing from start to finish, although it *does* lose some momentum towards the end.

Seven out of 10.

I did give this a chance, I really did. And, don't get me wrong I don't mind semi hokey, goofy films like this as long as there is Some actual entertainment value.

Well... quite honestly I'm sorry to say there just isn't any...

I mean seriously... it is So bad. The effects are beyond Terrible. The script, such as it is, is genuinely nonexistent. It's just simply Horrible from the beginning throughout.

So, the current rating of 6.x...? Uh, that would be a most definite and undoubtable 'No!'

Seriously, if there were Anything at all that I thought I could recommend about this movie, anything... I would do so. But, quite honestly this is just about as bad as it gets. I don't even know why I've given it a '4'... Must be in a Very good mood! : )

Brian is in search of fame and fortune,so he sets out into the depths of the jungle in search of the infamous Snake Goddess.He comes across Nila(a snake woman),who agrees to tell him where the Snake Queen resides if he will repay the favor.Finally in the lair of the Snake Queen,the Goddess agrees to grant Brian's wishes under one condition.As payment and in order to worship her he must kill 3 women,drink their blood and then dine upon their breasts.He agrees to this carnage and sets out upon his killing spree.Pretty wild and outrageous Indonesian trash with a tiny bit of gore,bizarre storyline and some crazy special effects.It's great to see Suzzanna in this trashy and wild Indonesian flick.
