There's not much to The Restaurant of Many Orders beyond its atmosphere and art style, but given it's a short film - and those aspects are striking - I still feel as though it ends up being worth the time (only about 20 minutes).
There are points at which it feels like it could've been more than what it was. A slow build with some interesting ideas explored, and things becoming increasingly weird, but less comes from it in the end than you might have expected or hoped. I know the original director died during production, so maybe that is partly responsible for it feeling a little unfinished, or perhaps not as great as it could've been.
But for purely what it is, thinking less about what it might've been with a little more runtime, it's cool.
