Bernd Stromberg, the self-important head of claims department M to Z at Capitol Insurance, believes he's a great boss but constantly causes chaos. In this first episode, a documentary crew films the office, leading to a series of awkward missteps as Stromberg tries--and fails--to shine.

Since Stromberg didn't put through the new fire safety regulations he tries to find a way to impress his boss.

Stromberg messes with the canteen cook. Meanwhile, Ernie tries to draw attention to the bullying he is experiencing in the department.

Stromberg must organize the company party. A leak from the workers council hints at layoffs. Nervous Ernie collapses. Stromberg tries to book singer Roland Kaiser but fails, performs himself, and signs Erikas dismissal papers by mistake.
