    Excellent show

Helpful for children to realize how they are acting and you can see that jo is the supernanny!

    Television's parenting guide

Being or becoming a parent is definitely not an easy task, especially with our busy schedules. The question is, how do you balance your work life and raise your kids? Thankfully Jo Frost puts it right. She finds middle ground between parents and their kids so there is no power struggles and of course frequent misbehaving. Of course some kids consider Jo to be "mean" when in reality she's being strict and eventually they learn to follow through. I like how she admonishes any irresponsible parent and gets them to get with it. I learned many parenting things from this show, from potty training, time-outs, rewards, homework time and so on. A must watch for any parent!

    Brilliant

I was thrilled to notice a new season made. I watched all the shows when they were airing in the 2000s and I got so much out of them that I used in raising my kids!!

I've often wondered how "super nanny" would address the modern family issues. (Increased mental health diagnosis, the internet and digital devices etc.) Her approach makes sense and has remained consistent after all these years. ("Say what you mean, mean what you say, and don't sound mean when you're saying it"...."sprinkle the praise"...."redirect"....plus more) I HIGHLY recommend parents watch how she works with these families.

    Excellent exercise in practical psychology

This show should be required viewing for any parents who have ever felt at a loss with their young children. The nanny, Jo, is a very personable, pleasant young woman. She shows by example what should be done with children and parents. I will admit that her schedules can be a little much, but if they suffice to get the family working together, then I guess the viewers can stand it. The thing I like the most about it is that she teaches the parents to play with their children and enjoy them, instead of just disciplining them. Discipline is necessary, but you don't need as much of it if you are enjoying your children and loving them. A child needs to know where the lines are drawn, so a naughty spot is a handy gadget until they understand for themselves. But discipline, or correction, will never take the place of leading the way, instead of pushing from behind. The reason Jo leaves half way through the show, is to allow the parents to see if they can handle it yet by themselves. This shows up any weak spots in the parents' approach and can be corrected easily in the last 10 minutes of the show. Wouldn't you love to see what this looked like if they actually had to shoot it in 60 minutes? By the way, don't confuse this show with Nanny 911 which has several different nannies, assigned to 'cases'. Those nannies are very standoffish and mostly it consists of telling the parents what they are doing wrong.

    Supernanny is the BEST!

To the person who posted before me, are we talking about the same show? You sure you don;t have your nanny shows confused? Jo Frost is the best nanny in the whole world! The show is NOIT a job for her, it is NOT! WATCH the show, she loves the kids, she DOES play with them and hugs and kisses them! With the exception of Deb., I don't see ANY of the Nanny 911 nannies doing that! The Nanny 911 nannies are cold and stick it to the parents but I do NOT see them interact too much with the kids. In fact, they have these dumb uniforms that almost makes it impossible! Jo always plays with them, she is ALWAYS there for them! She ADORES them,. I don't see where you get she doesn't.

The show displays the steps right on the bottom of the screen, where as Nanny 911 you have to listen or you'll miss it. Supernanny is MUCH more useful and educational! Believe me, SUPERNANNY is better cause JO loves the kids more and that's the truth. Nannying is not a job for her, it's play for her! Supernanny is better!!!
