a review of the ACTUAL episode, not a rant about abortions...

This is actually one of my favourite Cold Case episodes, mostly because I love the Soundtrack. But the story is very good.

Two people are found dead under a building's foundation that was put up in 1969, the bodies are of two young adults, one a white female, the other a black male. The story takes us back to the Summer of Love in a hippie commune. The two dead people were helpers in the revolution with the white girl being in an open relationship with the leader of the revolution. Being the sixties when abortion was illegal extreme times called for some extreme measures, and the pair started volunteering for an actual doctor who could do the safest procedures. With the Afrikaner Liberation Front, angry boyfriends, and possible FBI informers, the motives and suspects keep piling up until the last minute

Jane, the organization that Julia and Gerard worked for was a real underground organization (known as the Jane Collective) that provided abortion services to women from 1969 until 1973, when the Supreme Court's ruling in Roe v. Wade made abortions legal throughout the U.S. The real Jane Collective operated in Chicago, however, not Philadelphia.

Goofs
When they read the address found in the airtight pouch, they say it's "4912", however when Lily and Scotty go to the address, you can clearly see they knock on (and enter) 4811. You can also see on the green building next to them the address 4813....Lily and Scotty are clearly on the wrong side of the street.
