Blank Generation

One of the standout aspects of Cold Case has always been its incredible attention to detail in recreating the atmosphere of each decade. From costume design to hairstyles, music, and photography, the show has consistently transported viewers back in time with authenticity. Unfortunately, Episode 11 of Season 2 completely misses the mark.

Instead of capturing the essence of the 1970s-a decade the show has portrayed convincingly in past episodes-this one feels more like a post-punk, early-2000s music video masquerading as the 70s. The aesthetic choices were jarring and out of place, failing to evoke the era effectively.

As for the plot, it was serviceable-neither a standout nor a disaster. However, the lackluster recreation of the setting left such a bad taste that it overshadowed everything else. It's a shame because this series is usually so good at immersing its audience in the past.
