After Cliff writes lines of "I will not do my child's homework" on the blackboard features some improvisation done by Bill Cosby. Originally, after Mrs. McGee (Elain Stritch) chastises Cliff for employing the childish tactic of writing the lines in large letters, Cliff was supposed to write the sentence once in normal-sized letters. However, Cosby instead begins to write in tiny letters. When Stritch turns around, she is taken off-guard and needs to turn from the camera to hide her laughter and struggle to maintain her composure as she delivers her following line.
