After rediscovering Curb Your Enthusiasm series since the first watch at HBO, it come out officially in Brazil on DVD first season, after watching the first episode it somehow baffed me in so sophisticated conceptive comedy whereof the own writer Larry David plays himself exposing his own private life to the audience enforcing a black humor oriented, usually contrived in embarrassing plight in a crafty screenplay that let Larry, Jeff and their buddies in dire straits mostly of time.

Larry was practicing golf when an weird man gets close to do the same exercise, accidently his ball drop in the ground reach near of Larry, such man expects a kindness of Larry pick up the ball and also returning to his neighbor golf player, instead Larry freeze and didn't make a move, annoying the guy, aftermaths Larry goes to hospital to see his friend about to be operated on next sunday, that politely asking him a very special favor, meanwhile he goes to surgery his wife will be at hospital all day long, so he asking Larry to withdraw is porn videos collection hidden in secret place at your room, stunned by such outrageous request Larry denies do it by all means something weird and also dangerous task.

Arriving at home Larry and Cheryl wondering a suppose diner somewhere to relief, Larry starts phone to someone to settle a meeting to dinner, erroneously Larry dial the wrong number, where the other side of line is the old acquaintance named Porno Gil, that at once invites the couple to special diner takes place at your countryside rural area nearby L. A., even grudgingly Cheryl agrees just for a short time, lost in the way they find the odd golf man toward the dinner, Larry tries explains that didn't pick the ball due chronic pains in spine, it didn't allowed he bend whatsoever, such explain didn't got its effects due the guy is quite sure that Larry is lying.

Reaching late at dinner other problem caused stir, Porno Gil's wife has a ruler that no one could enter at your house wearing shoes, the stubborn Larry replays that without shoes he feelings as naked, soon the diner becomes in a poisoned atmosphere when Porno Gil starts telling disgusting old stories about his former job as Tabasco sauce to re-starting an erection, at leaving the clumsy Larry dropped an old and rare piece of table lamp letting the place upon screams and expletives,

On early Sunday Larry figure out that help his friend on surgery at hospital, entering at your home to pick up those porno tapes and also magazines, well seeing that one of them was starred by porno Gil, he starting take a look on there when suddenly appears the fathers in law of his friend, flabbergasted to see such vision at TV, meanwhile Larry replays that such porn star is his friend and last night had a dinner at your house, well worst could not happened in any dream, Larry David is a true genius!!

Larry, through his own miscalculations (what else is new), finds himself in a series of awful situations. He gets lost going to a party he never wanted to attend. At the party is a former porn star who waxes eloquent on his sexual shortcomings in a film. Finally, he has been sent to the house of a man having bypass surgery to retrieve a small porno collection he has hidden. Nothing is easy and much of the episode makes one crawl.

Every step of the way, you know there will be a misstep. The anticipation is strong, but the payoff is somehow always stronger, packing the greatest punch no matter how subtle that punch may be.

This episode of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" nails its depiction of life's most absurdly awkward moments in a laugh out loud fashion. As the episode progressed, it just got funnier and funnier, and everything led up to a fantastic sequence in which Larry David has the most uncomfortable encounters at an eccentric (but not over the top) dinner party with a porn star and his zany, explosive wife. All in all, an entertaining gold mine of comedy.

I'm watching the show for the first time and can't stop laughing. That one line after he broke the lamp and came back in to get his watch killed me. How softly he said "oh jeez look at this what a mess" it was perfect
