Rose Tyler: But, Sarah Jane- you were that close to her once, and now... you never even mention her. Why not?
The Doctor: I don't age. I regenerate. But humans decay. You wither and you die. Imagine watching that happen to someone you...
Rose Tyler: What, Doctor?
The Doctor: You can spend the rest of your life with me. But I can't spend the rest of mine with you. I have to live on, alone. That's the curse of the Timelords.

The Doctor: If I don't like your plan, it will end.
Mr. Finch: Fascinating. Your people were peaceful to the point of indolence. You seem to be something new. Would you declare war on us, Doctor?
The Doctor: I'm so old now. I used to have so much mercy. You get one warning. That was it.

[Having backed out, slowly and carefully, from a utility closet, unable to take her eyes from what she'd discovered inside but scarcely believed: the infinitely recognizable, unforgettable, and surely impossible blue Police Box form she knew as the TARDIS, she turns around to find the school teacher she'd met earlier, John Smith, the man whose name she'd commented as being the same as the alias her old friend used - the friend with whom she'd traveled so long ago in that same impossible box - having seen her back out, trembling and haunted, from that utility closet]
The Doctor: Hullo, Sarah Jane.

The Doctor: Correct-o-mundo! There's a word I've never used before, and hopefully never will again.

Rose Tyler: With you, did he do that thing where he'd explain something at like, 90 miles an hour, and you'd go "What?", and he'd look at you like you've just dribbled on your shirt?
Sarah Jane Smith: All the time!
[laughs]
Sarah Jane Smith: Does he still stroke bits of the TARDIS?
Rose Tyler: [giggling] Yes, he does! I'm like "do you two want to be alone"?
Rose Tyler, Sarah Jane Smith: [both crack up laughing]
The Doctor: [walks into the lab] How's it going?
Rose Tyler, Sarah Jane Smith: [burst out hysterically laughing]
The Doctor: What? Listen, I need to figure out what's programmed inside these?
Rose Tyler, Sarah Jane Smith: [still laughing, Rose points at him]
The Doctor: What?
[annoyed]
The Doctor: Stop it!

The Doctor: Right, physics! Physics, eh? Physics, physics, physics, physics, physics, physcis. Physics! Hope you're getting all this down.

Sarah Jane Smith: I thought you died. I waited for you and you didn't come back and I thought you must have died!
The Doctor: I lived. Everyone else died.
Sarah Jane Smith: What do you mean?
The Doctor: Everyone died, Sarah.

The Doctor: It's very well behaved, this place. I thought they'd all be happy-slapping hoodies. Happy slapping hoodies with ASBOs. Happy slapping hoodies with ASBOs and ringtones!

The Doctor: They're Krillitanes!
Rose Tyler: And is that bad?
The Doctor: Very. Think how bad things could possibly be, then add another suitcase of bad.

The Doctor: The Skasas Paradigm. They're trying to crack the Skasas Paradigm.
Sarah Jane Smith: The Skasas what?
The Doctor: The god-maker. The universal theory. Crack that equation and you've got control of the building blocks of the universe. Time and space and matter, yours to control.
Rose Tyler: What, and the kids are like a giant computer?
The Doctor: Yes. And their learning power is being accelerated by the oil. That oil from the kitchens, it works as a conducting agent, makes the kids cleverer.
Rose Tyler: But that oil's on the chips. I've been eating them.
The Doctor: What's 59 times 35?
Rose Tyler: 2065. Oh, my God!
Sarah Jane Smith: But why use children? Can't they use adults?
The Doctor: No, it's got to be children. The god-maker needs imagination to crack it. They're not just using the children's brains to break the code; they're using their souls.
Mr. Finch: Let the lesson begin.

Mr. Finch: Think of it, Doctor. With the paradigm solved, reality becomes clay in our hands. We can shape the universe and improve it.
The Doctor: Oh, yeah, the whole of creation with the face of Mr Finch. Call me old-fashioned, I like things as they are.
Mr. Finch: You act like such a radical and yet all you want to do is preserve the old order. Think of the changes that could be made if this power was used for good.
The Doctor: What, by someone like you?
Mr. Finch: No. Someone like you. The paradigm gives us power, but you could give us wisdom. Become a god at my side. Imagine what you could do. Think of the civilisations you could save. Perganon, Ascinta, your own people, Doctor. Standing tall. The Time Lords... reborn.
Sarah Jane Smith: Doctor, don't listen to him.
Mr. Finch: [to Sarah Jane] And you could be with him throughout eternity. Young, fresh. Never wither, never age, never die.
[to The Doctor]
Mr. Finch: Their lives are so fleeting. So many goodbyes. How lonely you must be, Doctor. Join us.
The Doctor: [suddenly tempted] I could save everyone.
Mr. Finch: Yes.
The Doctor: I could stop the war.

Sarah Jane Smith: It wasn't Croydon. Where you dropped me off, it wasn't Croydon.
The Doctor: Where was it?
Sarah Jane Smith: Aberdeen.
The Doctor: Right... That's next to Croydon, isn't it?
