Joe goes to see Bill who is sick in bed. During this time, Bill asks Joe to flip an egg timer so he will know when to re-take his temperature. Joe does so, and you can see the sand at the top of the timer. The camera angle shifts to a close up of Joe (a matter of seconds later) and the top of the hour glass is empty.
When Joe was introduced to his new partner, Lt. Drucker, the phone rings at the Captain's desk. The phone call is for Lt. Drucker. The captain hands the phone to Lt. Drucker. As Lt. Drucker puts the phone to his ear, you can hear in the audio "Lt. Drucker" as a phone greeting. However, Lt. Drucker's lips never move.
