    Heather Locklear

In this episode: Yet another new tenant for the Carrington mansion, as Krystle extends the family bond to include another virtual stranger. Terri Garber, as Leslie, who seems to go for the gender-bending look. Darling little Krystina seems to be suffering from asthma. A most unlikely coupling, Dex and Dominique, is averted, not that there'd ever been any chance. Joan Collins continues to be more like herself instead of being made up as a designer's caricature. Marriage bells for Dana and Adam, would that put LeAnn Hunley on the regular cast? And Ted McGinley remains just one step ahead of being posted off into the arms of Marcy Darcy in MARRIED WITH CHILDREN.

    Heather Locklear was blinking on the slide shot used to illustrate the episode, but at least, if there are anybody out there who hasn't seen this show, and is mesmerized (!!) by my regular witty ramblings every week as I plod through Season 7, now you too can have an idea of the pretty, very, very pretty girl who played Sammy Jo. {unless the pic has since been exchanged}

    And, as a parody:

Krystina: (to herself) If I am such a rich little girl, how come I get only a poxy WOODEN pony for my third birthday? And how come I have parents old enough to be Grandpa and Grandma?

    • Trivia
Back in Season 4, with the 23rd episode, the same title. That was during 1984.
    • Goofs
In this episode, aired February 17th, 1988, Krystina celebrates her 3rd birthday, although she was born in episode 5-10: Krystina (1984), which originally aired on February 26th, 1986. Thus, Krystina would be only two years old.
    • Quotes

Clay Fallmont: Sammy Jo, you should have told me you were coming by.

Sammy Jo Dean Carrington: Why? So you could spend the day thinking up something ugly to say like you did at the club last night?

      Clay Fallmont: Look, I...

Sammy Jo Dean Carrington: How could you do that? Steven and I were just dancing.

Clay Fallmont: You weren't just dancing with him, you were dancing with what the two of you once had together.

Sammy Jo Dean Carrington: That's not true.

Clay Fallmont: Isn't it? Look, the only thing I've got against Steven is your fantasy of him. He can't give you what you need, face it.

Sammy Jo Dean Carrington: Really? And you can?

Clay Fallmont: I can look at you and see you for the woman you really are.

Sammy Jo Dean Carrington: A liar and a cheat. That's what you called me, isn't it?

      Clay Fallmont: I was hurt.

Sammy Jo Dean Carrington: Well, so was I. I loved you, and I trusted you. You've never seen me for who I am. Sure, you wanna make love, but when it comes to... to listen and to forgive, you're nowhere to be found. I don't know why we're dragging this out.

      [produces documents]

Sammy Jo Dean Carrington: You have to sign these annulment papers.

      [impatiently waving papers]

Sammy Jo Dean Carrington: Just sign them.

Clay Fallmont: [taking the documents] Sammy Jo, if I sign these papers, I'm admitting that our marriage was nothing but a fraud.

Sammy Jo Dean Carrington: Well, what else was it? In the beginning, you didn't want me as part of your family. And then, when I thought I was pregnant, you didn't even want the baby.

      Clay Fallmont: I love you.

Sammy Jo Dean Carrington: I don't know what you feel, Clay, but it sure isn't love.

Clay Fallmont: No? Then tell me what this is.

[kisses her passionately, and she surrenders to her own feelings, until coming to her senses and pushing him away]

Clay Fallmont: I want you so much, Sammy Jo. More than I've ever wanted anything or anyone in my entire life.

Sammy Jo Dean Carrington: Whatever we feel, Clay, whatever you wanna call it, it has no future. Just sign the papers.

Clay Fallmont: [smirks] Same old story, isn't it? Whatever Sammy Jo wants, Sammy Jo gets. Well, you'd better grow up and decide what it is you really do want.

      [signs]

Clay Fallmont: Take your papers and get out of here.
