Make a Wish

Mark comes back from his beating. In the typical "I can do anything" attitude, he diminishes the effects of this incident. But the others know he isn't right. They know him. He questions what they do and he snaps at people. There is a scene in the parking ramp where we see what is going on in his head.

Much of the episode has to do with Benton and his new child who has been born two months prematurely. The effects of that weight heavy on him as he has never been scared before.

Carol is also dealing with thing and Carter is questioning whether surgery is right for him, since it seems money outranks the needs of the patient, even in life and death situations.
