The Carter Show

I know the episode is story of love in another setting. But it is hardly ER. The Carter thing, with him trying to find himself, just seems superfluous. He is constantly tilting at windmills. However, then he gets the hots for an AID's worker, he impregnates her, and apparently that sort of tells us about him. His relationships in the past have been if anything, ethereal.

It is also an example of America bashing. It would be great to solve all the world's problems, but we see that much of the bureaucracy has to with the Congolese government. When Carter tries to bring supplies in, he is told he didn't go through channels.

The whole concept of the show has been skewed because Carter has to be at the center. Others are toiling away too, dealing the sick people.

Goofs
In this episode Sam walks up to Luka and says, "You're Kovac right? Med student needs you down the hall.", after having already met him, interacted with him and had him over to her apartment in relation to helping find her son in a previous episode.

The scene was a "flashback" to October, before they had met and interacted.
