Up there with the Very Best of Trek

Season 3 was Brilliant, but some of the episodes of season 4 rival TOS at it's best. This story and bringing back Data (I mean Brent Spiner) were inspired. I just love the way they also changed the title sequence and the music, so clever when you look at this then at boring Discovery, it's a world apart We saw how good Scott Bakula is as am actor after Quantum Leap, which you had to be a good actor for all these different parts, and in these episodes he shows that, for me Kirk, Archer, Picard

    Love this episode

Any episode where Linda Park gets all sexy is a good episode.

    By far best intro ever

The first minutes ... before the intro starts are the best of Trek ever... watch it and enjoy...

The episode itself is ok... but the first minutes... omg..

Pitty to see enterprise ending after season 4. If they would have made it in the Netflix/prime area it probably would have had more seasons.

I watched it during 2001-2005, and watched it again in 2022... it still looks great.. Ok the CGI isn't that advanced as now, but still really enjoyed it a lot.

Looking forward to Picard season 3 now... and after that maybe my first watch of ds9...

Oh well the last episode of this season.. rated bad, but it isn't that bad at all.

    Didn't care for this episode

I really, really didn't care for this episode. I did however rate it a 5; I mean, there were some funny parts and I guess watching the crew in a different light (dark parallel) got me thinking what it would be like if they weren't the way they normally are.

    Here we go again.

It seems every version of Trek has to do the "evil Enterprise" thing, and I haven't liked any of them. I felt this show wasn't given enough of a chance before it was cancelled. I enjoy it very much. I wish the series had gone on longer. There was a lot more to explore with these characters.

    • Trivia
This episode marks the first time that a full Tholian is seen on-screen in any Star Trek series. The upper part was based on the Tholian as seen on the viewscreen in The Tholian Web (1968). The concept of Tholians requiring very hot environments was continued from Future Tense (2003), which had based this on the fan theory that the viewscreen in The Tholian Web seemed to ripple from heat; Phlox states their preferred temperature is 480 Kelvins which is 207 °C (404 °F). The creators of 'Enterprise' took some creative license with the lower part of the body, giving it six spider-like legs; the reasoning was that since the Tholians catch their enemies in an energy web, they might look a bit like spiders.
    • Goofs
When we first meet the mirror T'Pol, she wears the rank insignia of full Commander. Then, in a subsequent scene with Archer, she has the rank of a Lieutenant Commander, but she was never shown as being demoted.
    • Quotes

Commander Charles 'Trip' Tucker III: You don't want to end up like me, do ya? I've absorbed enough delta rays to guarantee my grandchildren glow in the dark.

    • Crazy credits
The opening sequence is replaced with footage of various battles and a different theme song to reflect the fact that this is an alternate universe in which the Terrans are a warlike species.
