Many people have shown their hate for this series so i decided to watch a couple of the better received ones. This one was mostly fine but most of the jokes i did not find that funny. The highlight of the episode was Shipoopi which i rewatch a lot, say what you want about Seth but he can sing.
Far from being a weak episode, I found this one to be such a step-up from the rest of the otherwise fairly aimless forth series. The beating scenes, far from trying to 'recapture the chicken fight' finally bring back a semblance of the brutality that made Stewey such an interesting and funny character in the first place. Brian is darker, as are the majority of the jokes. Great pop-culture references; music as fine as any produced by the crew in any of the other series (and intentionally run on to that moment of audience discomfort which Family Guy enjoy doing so much!) Class act - one of the finest Family Guy episodes to date
Just to comment about Stewie beating up Brian...I thought it was pretty funny actually. It works very well as sort of an homage to The Sopranos. There are numerous episodes of money collection and people "ducking" people to avoid paying. To be honest, I don't think I would have found it funny if I didn't enjoy, let alone know about, The Sopranos. Family Guy has gone a little down hill, but it's most certainly still in the upper echelon of TV shows out there. I've also found that seeing episodes on repeated viewings are actually funnier. I hope this show doesn't get canceled again. I also hope this comment helped out.

Chris Griffin: Mom, there's no water in the toilet.
Lois Griffin: First of all, Chris, it's called a loo. Second, there's no water in it because everyone here just uses Elizabeth Hurley.
Chris Griffin: Alright, well, where is she, cos I need her now!
